Vocational & NVQ Qualifications
Does anyone else know about City & Guilds? I had no idea what they did, I never finished my A Levels and got a job straight away working in a restaurant. My boss decided to get me and some of the other members of staff vocational qualifications in Health and Safety. The environment for learning was fantastic and I basically found out they do NVQ qualifications in professional cookery. I enrolled and, already having vocational qualifications in Hospitality & Catering Principles, I discovered I was basically in a very good position to pursue an actual career in my passion – food. I now work as a Chef and always make sure my staff undergo training at City & Guilds.

The experience in obtaining the NVQ qualifications was extremely precious. I have understood the modus operandi of Hospitality and Catering industry. It was quite a learning experience.
Vocational qualifications are needed if you want to become a skilled marketer. You are required to get adequate training in order to master such skills.
Getting an NVQ qualification can be very helpful if you plan on making a career in the hotel industry. It is very much in demand.
